Give those people money through unemployment insurance and the SBA programs. They then have dollars to buy booze.

But all fixed costs like rent, mortgage, etc. are frozen for 60 days. On commercial side, too.

No defaults allowed, no adverse credit reporting. Freeze time.

Banks are already doing a lot of this. But it’s disorganized. And many landlords, residential and comm, get that forbearance from the bank and nevertheless hammer tenants.
