These protestors strike me as professional malcontents. I've heard they were solicited to participate and that doesn't surprise me. I'd suspect many of them aren't employed and haven't been for some time. If they were laid off, they'd be nervous but perhaps optimistic, sitting at home with enhanced unemployment benefits, hoping to be brought back to work after those run out.

Construction is an essential business here, and the city/state is taking advantage of the lack of traffic to fast track some road work that would have taken months under normal circumstances.
I'm thinking about getting someone to replace my fence. It's not like I have to go anywhere near them to point out what needs to be done and I can leave a check under a rock or something.
