Maybe when the US has started resembling 1976 Argentina and its disappearances, people will wish they: (1) had the right to bear arms; and (2) we recognized a version of "stand your ground" as in
John Bad Elk v. United States, 177 U.S. 529 (1900). but which most states have eviscerated. Or, in other words, "when in the course of human events ..."
