Drunken Sex Poll

This has got to be right. I have been very, very drunk on occasion (but only once, really, in the last 15 years -- it was awful**). However, I did black out once, but didn't lose consciousness. I fell off a horse onto very hard ground on my head, and had a concussion. I was sure I had lost consciousness, because I couldn't remember getting from Point A to Point B, but when I asked how long I had been "out", my friend responded that I'd not lost consciousness. I asked him how he knew, and he said, "Well, you were walking and talking -- so you didn't pass out." That was fairly convincing evidence, but I still am missing those 10 minutes -- and it was the strangest experience I have ever had -- sort of "tuning in" to the middle of a conversation -- and I was speaking!

** the one time in the last 10 years was just an accident -- I didn't even feel drunk until I left the party and the outside air hit me. I realized how totally drunk I was when I got in the taxi. I couldn't get out of bed the next day until about 11; I went to work late, and had to tell the cab to pull over and got out of the car -- and HURLED ON THE STREET in broad daylight (47th Street -- the Diamond block for you NY'ers). Luckily, as I was dressed for work, and otherwise appeared normal, the onlookers just assumed (I think) that I was pregnant, and one kind gentleman from a nearby deli even brought me a napkin and complimentary bottle of water -- what a nice guy. Still -- I was mortified to have vomited on the street.
