I haven't watched, but does the guy you're talking about narrate a lot of programs that show up on the history channel and a&e and the like? There's a man who narrated a program about horrible airline disasters -- including the one where the KLM pilot on takeoff clipped the top of another plane sitting on the runway and killed hundreds of people -- and now whenever I hear his voice I fear impending disaster. Sometimes he narrates specials that do not involve death and his voice is just all wrong.
