I'm actually agreeing with you that things like
1619 can be read by reasonable people and have some value and spur valuable conversation. I also support BLM because law enforcement abuse of minorities is a real concrete thing about which reasonable people cannot disagree.
Wokeism is a near religious type of thing. It's a hijacking of a controversial area of study, critical race theory, that makes everything primarily about race. Which is not factual.
