Drunken Poll - a twist

OK, this drunken sex poll was pretty interesting. Quite a few good stories. I've got a couple, but nothing worth mentioning.

The above line by Sparkler got me thinking about a debate I just had a week or so ago with some friends. It was about whether or not getting "drunk" was fun. We first argued about when a person is truly drunk and came to the conclusion that you have to be puking drunk or damn near puking drunk (i.e. world is spinning, orientation is impaired significantly), otherwise it's just a "buzz."

So, for this poll, please accept that definition.

Now, the question is: do you think getting drunk is fun?

I don't think it is. I have much more fun when I have a good buzz going than when I'm close-to-puking-drunk. I don't like the spins and I don't like throwing up. On the other hand, I enjoy losing the inhibitions and getting a little loose, but this happens to me far short of the puking stage. One of my buddies, on the other hand, stated that he doesn't "know when the next time [he] will get puking drunk will be, but [he] looks forward to it."

No thanks. What do you think?
Definitely not fun. And when I am close to puking drunk, I typically will be at puking drunk by the end of the night. In a survival-of-the-fittest sort of way I have a very strong puking mechanism, and the line between pleasantly buzzed and puking drunk is close enough for me that I typically have to stay closer to the barely buzzed part of the spectrum.

All of this may be TMI, particularly close to lunchtime, but having already confessed to throwing up in braod daylight in NYC, figured I'd throw in the final detail, for anyone thinking it could have been mourning sickness (not).

And welcome back, MR. Good to see a post here from you.
