In general, yes, but not so much among many of the smaller non-prestigious wineries, which do, in fact, have trouble getting wide distribution. They don't have the econ clout, but they employ and they vote. They are the nice, photogenic "struggling independent farmers" as opposed to the ADM-agribusiness of Gallo.
I think it would be more wasted because of the "fuck CA, they all vote Dem anyway, notwithstanding Arnie" thing. It would be interesting if Arnie would take up this cause, even if only in passing, to see what other support it garnered.
