Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Start by getting rid of a young left hander for an old left hander with a history of injuries.* Makes sense to me. Heck, so long as he goes to a National League team, who cares about losing the guy who has been the big-game pitcher for the Yanks over the last several years?
Here's a realistic article about the Pettite thing. http://www.nytimes.com/2003/12/12/sp...l?pagewanted=1
*Yes, Kevin Brown is a great pitcher. When he's healthy.

One more time (and I'm happy ESPN said it AFTER I already said it yesterday).
Vasquez is the Pettite replacement. And several years younger.
Brown is the Roger replacement. And several years younger.
I think our staff potentially got better - that being said, I'm all about loyalty to local sports heroes and would liked to have kept Andy around another 5 years - and have "46" join future Retirees "2", "22", and "42" on the Left field wall.

And actually, "EL Duque" was our big game pitcher - after Jimmy Key was our big game pitcher. Stop revising history.
