Did the anti-miscegenation laws cover intercourse, or just marriage? I am not familiar with anti-seduction laws. I can see where anti-fornication laws would be violated. I would think applicable statutes of limitations would have expired.
I would think one would have to have a law degree to be a USA, but perhaps I am incorrect.
Look, I wouldn't want to admit a relationship to Strom Thurmond when he was alive, or possibly even after he was dead. I wouldn't want the inevitable huge amount of public scrutiny that would revive every time Thurmond did or said anything at all related to anything that might be related to race. Now that he's dead, it will be more of a one-time furor and only revive maybe on anniversaries.
