Creative formal??? Do people actually do this? Ick. If somebody sent me an invitation daring me to wear creative formal, they better not be shocked if I show up in a lavendar tux with a ruffled shirt and my date shows up in a frilly dress.

So far as optional goes, if the invite says optional, it better mean optional.

Me, I'd rather go to a clothing optional party than a black tie optional party.
