One-time martial-arts matinee idol David Carradine is riding high on his role in Quentin Tarantino's latest opus, Kill Bill. But the comeback actor has discovered there's a downside to his tough-guy persona.
``Recently, this one jerk challenged me to a fight, on a film set of all places,'' Carradine tells the New York Daily News. ``He was saying all this stuff about how I had been in kung-fu films but couldn't fight, because the fight scenes were faked.''
``I kept saying, `You've got to be kidding,' '' recalls Carradine, now 67. ``Then he just started throwing punches. Finally I got hold of him and spun him around and laid him on the ground and sat on top of him.''
``I started kissing him all over his head and shoulders. That ended it.''
