I liked that movie too. Sweet, sad, funny, subtle and surprisingly good.
Murray's had the benefit of two really good pieces recently in
Rushmore and in
Lost in Translation, but they're close to the same role. Murray has pathos down cold, and it's interesting to watch that, but I'd like to see him try something else before I stop associating him with anything else he's done. Next thing you know, it'll be down to these two plus
The Razor's Edge, and God knows we don't want to go there.
