Hal Hartley is one of my favorite directors. His films are small and quirky, but somehow compelling. I really like
Trust and
Flirt, both of which feature Martin Donovan, my nominee for actor working in semi-obscurity most deserving of hitting the bigtime.
The Unbelievable Truth is also good. None of them involve monsters.
