Ah Pittsburgh. Actually, this reminds me of when I was young and had brought in some pictures of some our dogs for show and tell. The teacher pointed at one of the dogs and said is that male or female? And I said female. And she said she's large for a female isn't she? And I said yes, she's a pretty big bitch. The entire class gasped.

Fortunately, the teacher was smart enough to realize I hadn't said anything wrong. My sister on the other hand did get in trouble for using the word bitch in the same fashion, mainly because my sister was always getting in trouble.

Any of you have any stories of silly things that got you in trouble or almost got you in trouble in school?
Kids are learning to use the "zero tolerance" nonsense. My son in 3rd grade has an argument on the playground with another, bigger, kid. The kid says "I'm going to kill you!"
My son knows he means "if we have a fight you will lose," and he's not bugged.

Big kid has enemies, however, including 2 boys who go, crying, to the principal and say that they're very afraid big guy is going to kill hank Jr.

the 2 kids were totally acting, my son told the princial it was nothing, and big guy got suspended for a few days.

We all felt safer.
