Yes, but were you aware that The Bronx was named after a Dutch settler in the 1600s, last name Bronk (and his brother settled south of Albany, and his 1640s house still remains there), who built a large house there and used to throw elaborate parties? As in "we're going to the Bronk's house", later changed to The Bronx. It is also the only town name that has "The" leading off the official name. All very exciting to all of you, I'm sure.
Still not as good of a name as Gun Barrel City, Texas, but what can you do?
