Actually, on gay marriage in Massachusetts, you don't need a poll to know which way the wind blows around here, which was my point. Since you, however, do seem to need one, why don't you look at the results of the Zogby survey that was commissioned by Crews' group, which is fighting to overturn the ruling, that found "strong opposition (53% to 36%) to an amendment in the state constitution that effectively bans same-sex unions"

Please, remember, though, you can't win if you don't play!
OK, so I did click on your link. That Zogby poll said just what I have been saying and the opposite of what you said. Remember what you said? You said the people of MA supported gay marriage 2:1. I said that by the polls I had seen, it was more a 50:50 split. That is what the Zogby poll said.

according to a poll conducted by Zogby International, a majority of people (52%) in Massachusetts do not want their state to legalize homosexual marriage; 42% favored legalization. The same poll found that almost 70% want the right to vote on a constitutional amendment defining marriage.
That was the issue. You said 2:1 supported gay marriage. Here is your quote:

Basically, polling runs 2:1 in favor of gay marriage in Massachusetts
The Zogby poll found it was 52% against and 42% for. You know, MA isn't just Boston. You keep talking about this sense of things you get by talking to other people. Well go talk to people who don't live in Boston and you may find a different attitude.
