No one was as purely awful as some we saw the past two seasons. In fact, all of them were as "good" as people who made the finals. No one really stood out like last year.
Fantasia and Jennifer were really good, but disappointed me. I hadn't remembered Fantasia sounding so much like Macy Gray. Calling her "unique" amused me. Jennifer has a nice tone, but I just expected more.
The chick in pink has to go. She only hit about a third of the notes, and most of those were shaky.
Katie Webber gave her best performance of the competition, so she was very mediocre. Same thing with the very handsome Matt Metzger. Yowzaa.
I fear we will see the triumph of pretty over talented with Matt and Katie getting through.
I wonder if the rest of the groups are as stacked with talent as this one.
