Attractive people
I was watching one of my favorite shows: Plastic Surgery - Before and After on the Discovery Health Channel (soon to be renamed the Discovery Plastic Surgery Channel), and it was one of the all- New York episodes.
The guy/victim, who was ok-looking, but not great by any stretch, was getting lipo and the reason was "because NY is so competitive" looks-wise and "you have to keep up with the beautiful people". And then, presumably to illustrate the beautiful people, the camera took to the streets of NY and focused in on a bunch of girls' asses in jeans. And I thought "beautiful? - that is just what I see on the way to work." It looked pretty normal to me.
So my next deep thought was whether the rest of the country thinks what I think is typical is beautiful because someone who lives here would not think those asses were beautiful. I realize there are probably more good-looking people here than elsewhere because there are more models, lots of $ etc., but those girls' asses that they focused on were not model asses. So does the rest of the country think that the average New Yorker is better looking than the rest of the country's population?
