Won't mean much. Most of that generation were sitting, at some point, in those antiwar rallies. Hell, I'm a raving conservative, and I've got a picture of
me talking to Jane Fonda in some box in my basement.

2.) A 1970 article where Kerry said the U.S. should turn Vietnam over to U.N. command, and all worldwide deployments should be done under the same auspices. Think carefully back to those times and who is on the Security Council and the tendencies of the majority of states in the U.N.

Again, sign of the times. Back then, we just knew that the military-industrial complex was the root of all evil, and had to be stopped, and that the best drag on our unfettered aggression was to temper it with the staid and sane wisdom of the europeans. (We did a lot of drugs back then, too.) So, if this is explained in context, no big deal.
I bet this is gone in two weeks, with maybe some quiet hints being dropped, and some nasty comments constantly interjected in conversation (like the "Bush lied" thing - some will use it, without foundation, as a sort of throwaway line in order, not to convey info, but to manufacture a tone.)
I give Kerry about a 40% chance at unseating Bush, and I don't think he suffers much from those three points. His waffling and willingness to say whatever his current audience will applaud will cause him much more grief.
