Serious Question

Does anybody know what "stapled financing" is?

It can have different meanings in different contexts. The one I am most familiar with is where a company issues debt along with warrants and/or preferred equity. The two instruments are "stapled" in that one cannot trade or hold the debt without also holding the equity, or vice versa.
