I didn't catch any of the red carpet shows, but here are a few notes from the awards show itself:
Renee Zellweger looked tons better than at the GGs. If she's started losing the weight, she should stop soon--she looks way better at the happy medium between inflated and skeletal.
Liv Tyler looked positively statuesque. I loved the design of the dress (one of those styles that's flattering to many), but was less certain about the colors.
Amber Tamblyn, though she may be great on Joan of Arcadia, is alarmingly pear-shaped (I know I know, pot, kettle). Her ass in that dress was scary.
Jane Kaczmarek looks great for a woman with several (4?) children, especially one under a year old, but she really should have covered her arms. Melissa Gilbert also had really bad arms, plus a dress that squished her into a mono-boob.
Stockard Channing needs to lay off the tanning. Charlize Theron was also looking a bit over-bronzed (though otherwise lovely, as always--I especially liked her earrings).
Frances Conroy's dress could not have been more ill-fitting. Yuk.
Keisha Castle-Hughes was wearing a beautiful and age-appropriate dress.
Debra Messing looks fantastic. I hope she doesn't lose all the weight after she delivers. I also really really liked her dress. Gold is a good color for her.
CZJ also looked yummy in her gold dress (hooray for not black!) and her loose hair, though her bang area was looking kind of odd--awkward grow-out stage?
