The guy is a fucked up miserable lawyer -- note the reference to his "life hitting rock-bottom." So he takes out his frustrations on some staffer who doesn't have the authority to say Boo.
That his first response to someone taking a position adverse to you is to write a nasty, whiny e-mail -- one laden with profanity, to a work colleague he'd presumably never met -- doesn't say much about his potential for lawyering.
