Okay, seriously -- regardless of how miserable the accounting staff are, a "fuck-you" e-mail to them is not going to help, is not going to convince them to make an exception to the "policy" in his favor, and only presents the possibility of being circulated, without the context, to judgmental fucks like me.
If a GP wrote a lengthy e-mail calling a GA a fucking incompetent worm, saying "but this is not the first crappy project the GA did" wouldn't much help the GP's image.

While I am firmly of the opinion that anyone stuck working on Xmas can eat whereever and whatever the fuck they want, cc:ing the accounting tool's boss was sucky. The accounting tool, whether incompetent or not, did not send a snitty reply, and seemed decently apologetic for the GA being stuck in the stupid-policy-grinder. I can even accept a somewhat snarky response to the accounting tool just out of sheer frustration and annoyance - but cc:ing the boss like the accounting tool has done something wrong is not OK.
Nevertheless, whiney peevishness or not, Skadden comes out of that looking worse than the GA does. Just as anyone stuck working Christmas should be able to eat whereever and whatever the fuck they want, they have earned the right to be pretty peevish and whine about it.
BR(worked one major "everything's closed and everyone is at home with their families" holiday last year and nearly ended up working Christmas myself, and yes there would have been nothing I could really have done about it, and yes I would have whined like a little bitch about it)C
