If they didn't have welfare, they would need to have a job to eat and would clean your house. See, unlike those unemployed types who live off of savings and credit when they drop out of the labor pool, the welfare mom's don't have savings and credit and if you take away welfare then they would have to work to eat (and if you have seen a few of them, you know how much they like to eat, KWIM?)
But as long as you can get enough money from welfare to Supersize your meal at McDonalds, they prefer not to lower themselves by cleaning houses for a living. Hence the reason virtually every resident in Marin County has an illegal alien cleaning their house.
FWIW - I clean my own house. Keeps me humble.
