Interesting thoughts. At our house, crooner-boy was voted for. I thought the Billy Joel choice was inspired. Isn't this supposed to be about singing ability? He's the best singer.
And this is going to sound horribly racist and sexist, but I'm going to say it anyway. If you're a black woman and you want to kick ass on American Idol, you have to be better than just good. You have to be outstanding, because face facts, there are a lot of very good black woman singers out there. So Tiara, while I'm sure she enjoyed the fellatio from Randy and Paula, will not get through. I didn't even think she was at all on pitch; I agree with Simon on this one. I thought she was almost as bad as mormon John, which was almost as bad as some of the comically awful auditions they showed Monday. Lisa Wilson was also in that camp, and she didn't really show off her tits. Big mistake.
