I was raised on James Taylor, Neil Young and Bonnie Raitt. So I don't necessarily hate all of it. Who can hate music that reminds you of when you were 4? 4 was great: no school (at least all day), no responsibilities, everything was free and people still thought you were cute (unlike when you're 7 or 8 and people realized you're that little spaz on the soccer field).
