Gotta disagree. How is he any more non-original than most of the contestants who are doing imitations of current singers? There aren't too many of the 8 finalists or the wildcard 12 who sang a song and made it unique. I also like his voice.** He's got a nice sound and doesn't try to scream his way through a song. The test will be whether he can play on his style by taking more current songs and giving them a throwback vibe. Though as much as I like him, he'll probably be better in a few years. He's the youngest guy in the finals.

I have mixed feelings about George from reading his bio. He has an interest in opera. Can't tell yet whether he has that kind of voice, but I hate to see a potential opera singer turn to the dark side of pop just for the filthy lucre. Nevertheless, he needs to figure out how to look younger. He's the oldest looking 22 yr old I've seen. I think it is his eyes, they're fairly hooded -- maybe a brow wax? Maybe the mustache too?
I'd like to see Jennifer Hudson move on. She should have made it her week. She needs to focus on the clothes and not wear something odd or old looking.
