I googled my best friend from college a few weeks ago, and e-mailed him when I found out where he worked. Nice e-mail back. A few months ago, I googled the guy I consider to be the missed opportunity of my life, and found out he got married. He's in law school at Boalt Hall and started about six months after I left the Bay Area. I never contacted him.
I got a call out of the blue a few months ago from my sister's best friend in high school. She was looking for career advice and wanted to take me out to coffee to chat. I didn't know how she'd found my number, but I figured my sister had given it to her. She later told me that she'd googled me.
