so do I call?

Every morning, I listen to NPR from the time that I wake up until I get to work. And over time, I've developed a crush on the weather man. I have no idea what he looks like, no idea about anything other than his voice and his ability to help me decide what to wear in the morning.

Anyhow, my local NPR affiliate is wrapping up (thank god) their spring membership drive this afternoon, and the weather guys are supposed to be manning the phones for the home stretch. I'm already a member of the station; I gave generously last fall. So if I call, it's gonna be a redundant membership, though I'm sure they'll be happy to take my money. I'm not guaranteed to talk to him, and one hopes for the good of the station, he'll be too busy to chit-chat anyways. They do ask, when you call, if you have any particular statements you'd like to make, so I could jsut say "RT thinks weather guy is dreamy" and ask them to read it on the air. But, it's not as if I couldn't just send him a fan letter via e-mail, or I could just wait until the fall, cuz it's not as if they deviate too much from whatever fundraising formula they've devised.

So, should I call this afternoon and tell the weather guy that even when it's rainy he brightens my day?
