 There was great article in the NYT a couple of months back about the transformation of grappa from low end to high end.  (It was not just marketing - they actually changed the process.)  I have always associated it with paint thinner, but this article made a compelling case that there is good stuff out there.  Anyone a grappa fan?  Any recs?

 Grappa has replaced Cognac and other brandies (Pisco!) in my alcohol world. A decent grappa is at least $40 a bottle, but there seems to be a lot of change in the brands available. Local liqor stores will always carry a few, but they change so its tough to get a favorite. Don't get the flavored!
