If everyone's deterrent to driving drunk was the possibility of killing someone, we wouldn't need that lose-your-license law in the first place.
I am deterred by both.
And Atticus, you can live in most big cities and never have to drive drunk. Even if you get drunk fairly often. I've never even come close in Chicago.
