This is clear from your argument, but it is also clear that the statement you quote above is irrelevant to S_A_M's argument. It really doesn't matter whether people
are living paycheck to paycheck, or whether that feeling is coming from low salary or high expenditures, when people vote based on their perceptions, and people
think they are living paycheck to paycheck, which is what the cited study shows.
