Clinton suggested invading Afghanistan and Iraq?

It's a little-known fact that Clinton was elected over 41 in 1992 precisely because voters trusted the Dems to finish the job 41 wouldn't --- or couldn't. The immediate plans to topple Saddam were sidetracked by the more pressing need to murder high-ranking Administration officials in public parks, and to pull strings to get Chelsea admitted to the short list of tony Quaker schools in the District. Oh, and the importance of faggoting up the armed forces took precedence.
I admit, however, that actually invading rugged, mountainous subcontinent nations was, sadly, "important" but not "urgent" during the Clinton years. It was only after Clinton's controversial "don't ask don't tell" compromise really took root in the highest levels of the Pentagon that we actually strapped on a pair and began the hard work of nation building.
