That makes two of us. Joshua Tree was ok, and Pride is a great tune, but Bono is a ham, and they can't do political lyrics for shit. They're always preachy and overwrought. If you want to make a political point, you don't come right out with some cornball sentiment like "Shots rang out in the morniong sky... they took your life, but they could not take your pride." Fuck, if I were MLK, I'd be rolling in my grave saying "Hey, Irish motherfucker, stop crying in your Giunness for me... What I did is way too important to be memorialized with hallmark lyrics which will be sung by drunken 15 year olds on senior week at the Jersey Shore."
