I asked the Pakistani government to take me off their e-mail distribution list, so they haven't been sending me those updates for a while. I'll let you know as soon as I read about it in Reader's Digest.

You and Bush both seem to think that hope and a good heart is enough to get us through this dangerous world. Hope is not a plan.

You should get someone to explain to you where AQ recruits come from, from where its popular support arises, what regions and groups of people are disaffected enough to seek the same goals as the actual present AQ members, . . . the list is too long to finish here.
I refer to something in one of OBL's fatwas, and you respond by pointing to the programming on a Middle East TV station. If we were talking about the Mormon Church, and I pointed to something in the Book of Mormon, you'd probably tell me about the programming on the USA Network.

How can something be "highly unclear"? It's either unclear, or not.

Okay, sorry, I was channelling the FB there for a moment. You object to one particular part of Bush's philosophy. Therefore, you think that he is somehow honor-bound not to speak of it. I think that we are, in fact, effectively fighting a war on terror, and I think Bush is correct to focus on this. If Kerry wins, I'm sure I will likewise object to his use of the words "france-like heaven", but I'm not ego-centric enough to think he will avoid it merely to not offend me.
RP's point makes sense about "unique." Something is either unique or it isn't. Contrariwise, things can be more or less unclear. E.g., you might say, if you could ever bring yourself to admit it, that something is a "little unclear" to you.

Kos's comments reflected a stupid, visceral hatred of the guy for dumb reasons. A smirk? C'mon. You're better than that. Your comment supported what I said.
This is so lazy on your part. Maybe Kos hates him, I don't know. As a description of Bush's personality, it seems to get at something. Something club has lauded in the past.

What did you say? I still don't understand. Most unclear.

There was an element of Clinton's personality I didn't like either. So I don't think the word "hate" really fits. Both Clinton and Bush are enormously self-confident -- not surprising in a politician, but not attractive to me. Clinton displayed this in a maddening way -- the way he knew he'd slip out of whatever trouble he was in because he always did. Bush falls back on this "I'm the bigger jackass" thing when he's under pressure, to reassure himself. It's like he knows that however he performs, he's still a BMOC.
