It's a hell of a lot closer to the IRA than Al Jazeerah is to Al Qaeda. Orders of magnitude. On some level, Al Jazeerah are capitalists, and they know what their audience wants to see. It's a long way from that to jihad. Al J is embracing modernity, and Al Q is a reaction to it.
