A kayaker in McCovey Cove caught* Barry Bonds' home runs no. 660 and 661. I can't imagine what it's going to be like out there for 714-715 and 756-757. There's a little known provision of the Lawtalkers by-laws that says that every reference to Kayaking anywhere needs to be repeated here, as though it were amusing. Which they are. Except when the humor/lameness of it all is disclosed up front, in a post-modern meta kind of way.

*the media often report that people caught balls in McCovey cove. I've never seen it happen; they're always retrieved after hitting the water. Why don't people bring their retrievers out there?
