I never thought to do this. I've found that when the person is new (or you haven't seen them in a long time), the second and third shots aren't a problem because the excitement lasts longer.
It's when you're used to (read: bored with) the person that you may want to save it up, although, if you've been with them for a long time, who are you kidding? Second and third shots are a rarity. The overpowering draw of sleep takes over after the first shot.
