How To Get Action

The A6s make 270hp260tq for around the same price, although they are carrying around an extra 400 lbs of AWD weight. The lower end 5 series are great cars, but underpowered by modern sports sedan standards. The 525i ias the exact same engine (ok, heads are updated, bottom end is the same) as my old 1988 528e, making only about 20% more power than that car did. A lot of that is made up for in the low weights for both those lines, but I don't know that I could chose either one over comparable offerings from Audi, Infiniti and the new 2005 MY high end offerings from Subaru.
I just bought a Z4. I like the fact that it looks great, but it's not at all the reason I bought the car. I've wanted a convertible for years, and I can finally afford a powerful, well-built new one, so it's a bit of a luxurious approach to something I need (a car).
What you're saying is what you prefer. Can't you appreciate that others prefer different things? I think it's great that BMW makes the cars that they do. They haven't really compromised too much about making their cars drivers' cars, providing manual transmissions and innovating. And they cars are plenty luxurious for me. Different people like different things, and for some a 3 series is exaclty what they need.
I am merely playing the critic... making my case for what I like and don't like.
You'd have to be insane to purchase an Audi over a BMW. Audi's resale is like Cadillac's.
