I am wearing flat-front pants purchased recently from the Banana Republic -- with a blue shirt, and if that doesn't out me in this town, I dunno what will -- and am hung up on the fact that Jack Manfred said they are low-waisted. (For those checking this convo against the on-line catalog or their closets, we are talking about Dawson or Gavin.) If these are low-waisted, then what does high-waisted look like? Do I wear my belt near my nipples with them? It seems odd to me that the waist on these pants would be too low for anyone. OTOH, I shared this view with my wife this a.m., and she opined that I always wear pants low. OK, now I have completed outed myself, so I may as well mention that it is my custom to wear cargo kilts and matching kerchiefs on casual Fridays. Carry on.
