Final word on the casting of Endora is . . . no, not board favorites Liza Minelli, Joan Collins, Lauren Bacall, Meg Ryan, Diana Rigg, or Christine Baranski. Apparently, American film has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to battle-axes. It's the more obvious choice of Shirley Maclaine.

I reiterate that Jim Carrey should have been Darrin, although I see the merit of Hank's preference for Crispin Glover, who needs the work. Carrey's Lemony Snicket movie is in postproduction and also has a walk-on by Cedric the Entertainer (WTF!?!).
