The finale had better kick ass, because, as things stand, Joss Whedon is heading up there in my list of people I will bitchslap if I ever meet them on the street. He's not in spitting distance of my front runner, the "only thing I like better than doing the crossword ..." woman, but he's pissing me off. A lot.

If Whedon pulls the same stunt that Tapert/Raimi did on Xena I may just have to stake him myself.
Re Spike's mushiness, he is clearly reverting to his pre-vampire persona of William the Bloody [Awful Poet]. He was a dork then and he's becoming one now. But a hot dork with a good heart, so it's OK.
I'm confused about the Guardian's comment about the [something] becoming the Watchers. The what? It seemed negative at the time, and the Watchers are supposed to be the good guys, so I don't get it. Someone please 'splain.
