I would think that the same rationale would apply to you. However, you should bear in mind that the explanation I gave was based upon the DOJ excuse for not going after Novak. You aren't a well-known GOP ass-kisser and aplologist. Thus, your mileage may vary.
I would also add that misprision of a felony is a felony in its own right. Either way, I think Novak should be feeling a lot more heat than he is right now.
