For the first time, I actually have to think about this. Minnesota's caucus was always too late to matter. But this year, not wanting a newly important "purple" state to be late to the party, the powers that be moved our caucuses to Super Tuesday.

I'm stumped. I don't even know which party's caucus I want to attend.

My birthday has also been known to fall on the day of the Super Bowl. Clearly it has been determined that I'm Super. Thanks for asking.

I like both Hillary and Obama, but am leaning toward Hillary.

Really, the fundamental reasons to take her over Obama is (i) her level of experience, both as one of the most influential senators working both in the minority and now in the majority, as well as her experience as first lady (and I credit her with getting more relevant experience there than the average vice president); and (ii) my personal trust of her, which isn't something I can easily convince anyone else of. I first met her a long time ago, have seen her in several different settings, and thing she is fundamentally intelligent, thoughtful, focused and stable - all good traits for a President. I also think she is balanced - she's not doctrinaire in any way, much like her husband.

All that said, Obama is probably more dynamic and stirring, and if you are looking for someone who is inspirational, like a JFK or FDR, he may be the guy. I'd just rather see him as VP or in some substantive cabinet position for a while first.

There's no question for me of voting R - so I'll let the Rs make their own cases.

That's interesting. My personal lack of trust in her makes me very leery of her.

I have a personal flaw with trust: I tend to trust people too soon and if they break my trust, it is very difficult to get it back. This spills over from my personal life to other areas, including politics.

I've never met her; my trust issues are all things in the public record. I remember being really excited when Clinton was elected president. I thought having a very smart wife would be a plus.

I also suspect there was a least a little bit of right wing conspiracy against them -- the right had a serious hate on for those two. But there was just too much stuff for me to believe it was all made up. So it would be a real issue for me to vote for her because she and Bill lost whatever amount of trust I extend to politicians.

I reserve the right to vote for Obama in the general election after the Republicans nominate someone who pisses me off. Yeah, I'm looking at you Romney... and inexplicably I'm looking at you too Huckabee.
