Not really sure how you came to that conclusion unless what you are implying is that GWB doesn't drink because of the Bible. If that is what you are implying, I don't think that is why he doesn't drink. The accounts I have heard lead me to believe that his drinking was negatively affecting his marriage and Laura told him to straighten up his act on that front. He took her advice and quit drinking.
The fact that a man recognizes his drinking is negatively affecting his marriage and he quits to help his marriage is something entirely consistent with Christian teachings.
