Or is it b/c I was watching TLC? Are all ads locally focused on cable channels, or only some?
|
Actually, its starting to look like Illinois could be in play. Cabal is typically bought locally. I haven't heard of national cable ads.

Depends on the cable channel. Most of them have national feeds, which would explain it. Some have regional feeds (like ESPN), although I don't think even those do regional feeds all the time. Of course, I think most cable channels also have to give back a "local ad" slot once an hour (well, "have to" has in, have contracts to), but that's usually ads for some local crappy car dealer or whatever.

I always liked John McCain

"Your decision to deny your viewers an opportunity to be reminded of war's terrible costs, in all their heartbreaking detail, is a gross disservice to the public, and to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces," McCain, a Vietnam veteran, wrote in a letter to David Smith, president and CEO of Sinclair Broadcast Group. "It is, in short, sir, unpatriotic. I hope it meets with the public opprobrium it most certainly deserves."

I always liked John McCain, too. I just think that if they are only showing the Iraq casualties and not the Afghanistan casaulties, it is politically motivated for NightLine to do this.
I also think it is insulting to those who died in Afghanistan and their families.

Why is Bush getting Lee Hamilton's sloppy seconds? Couldn't Lee have stayed until today, and then met with the Canadian prez.?

It isn't being tolerated and the people responsible are being punished for this, probably quite severely. 'Nuff Said.

Really? Gore won by almost 600k in 2000. Clinton by approx. 800k in 1996.

I would hope that if anyone in our government is trained to recognize a cabal when em sees one, it's the CIA's station chief for Saudi Arabia.

So Cheney substituted his expertise for that of the Air Force? Based on his extensive military service, I guess. And you conveniently left out that Cheney opposed upgrading the M1 Abrams tank, recommended killing the latest model of the F-14 fighter jet and opposed buying more F-15s. All in all, sounds like he did exactly what he accused Kerry of doing.
And cite, please, to where Kerry said that we don't need the Stealth bomber, the M1 Abrams, F-14s or F-15s.
Yes, now I do see how you got to 31. The same way NotMe became Queen of the PB. Try again.

Bush in power will be able to dis-enfranchise minority voters. Plus, you'll have to have proof of being alive to vote.
I was fucking with you, I've not seen any State polls yet.
Michigan/Pennslyvania could be in play, but If Bush just wins the ones he won last time, he'll win by 7 or 10 more electoral votes due to the census.

Oh wait, he doesn't have a sexy avatar so never mind, your analogy is bad.

Fair enough. And easy to do. I honestly have zero info regarding the current trends in Illinois or Indiana, probably b/c I assumed both were slam dunks for their respective parties.
I can probably predict which way the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club goes though...
Pick me up some Bell's Oberon.

It says he is the former station chief. Was he fired and now has an axe to grind? What is his job now, working on the Kerry campaign? Do you know?

Were you to read my original post, you would see that I said I didn't know anything else about the guy other than what was in that sentence that you read. Although many minutes have now passed since I posted that, I have put that time to other use, and still know nothing more. Please do not let that stop you from trashing the guy.

Exactly. and yet you drew this conclusion:

I wasn't trashing the guy. I was just pointing out that you know nothing about him. For all any of us know, he could have an axe to grind with the Bush administration.
