This is EXACTLY what I mean about Dems being hypocrites. You talk a feminist talk, but think nothing of spewing misogynistic slurs if the woman disagrees with you. Sorry I wasn't deferential enough to the men on this board.

It's the massive spending spree designed to curry favor with Senate Dems. It wipes out the concept of smaller government, builds expectations the wrong way, and, ultimately, the people he's pandering to just turn around and bite him on the ass for it anyway. It's just dumb.
Curioiusly enough, if you look at Drum's post (the link I previously posted was to the comments, which is not what I intended to do), you'll see that none of the people he's quoting give that as their reason. Well, maybe that's what's motivating the guy who read the Suskind book. They all have different reasons.

Dems In Name Only:*

Zell Miller
Leiberman

* I reserve the right to amend the list as new Dems In Name Only become apparant to me.

(1) I don't remember him talking a feminist talk. Look at his name, for the love of God. He's a sexual harassment panda.

(2) We're all just confused by your sexuality.

Falling need for a second income? You wish.Link to Time Article re the two income trap. The price of housing close to good jobs and good schools keeps climbing and so does the cost of undergrad education.

Anecdotal stuff on Drum's blog really isn't too statistically valid. Most polls I've seen reflecting Rep disapproval of Bush have to do with his spending streak.

Doesn't surprise me. I am an assertive woman. You, having never seen me, just cannot fathom that I could be a woman. But that says more about you than it says about me.

Well, we finally found a non-hypocritical Democrat, eh? I guess we can stop beating that horse now.

As prepared as I am to plumb those depths, I'd rather post a cartoon.

Surprisingly, you seem inept at PC. While I clearly understand the point you're making, and don't think for a minute you were being inappropriate, that's not enough. You have left yourself open, through use of the sexually-charged concept of "dog", to attack for having offended.

This is why I hate the new PC culture, in which perception trumps meaning.

How funny. I hate the new culture of lazily attacking things for being PC.

Do those polls tie the Rep disapproval to the pandering to the Senate Dems, or was that just your elegant way of blaming the Dems for the GOP's financial largesse over the past few years?

No, but I do blame feminism in part for the United States loose immigration policy. Professional women would rather open the borders than pay poor women a decent wage for working as nannies or maids.

And you haven't yet produced evidence of a strong job market. If you carve out a jump in part-time employment, the job numbers for March don't look so hot. Wages haven't been growing either in the US. I wonder why?
