eta: If you really thought someone would take this seriously, it would be pretty irresponsible to circulate it like this, no?
I think the same thing every time you post a link to Josh Marshall.

Voting for Kerry is purely a masturbation fantasy of the author.
I too have a hard time really visualizing them actually voting for Kerry, though I'm sill amused at the fleeting thought of seeing "NRA Battalions for Kerry" banners late in the campaign, if only for its disarmament connotations.

Which makes me think of more Kerry '04 slogans designed to bring in the ranks of the disaffected Repubs:

Kerry '04: You'll Have Fewer Guns, But We Promise Not to Ask About Them

Kerry '04: Bringing Back the Powell Doctrine

Kerry '04: Come Back to The Party of Fiscal Sanity (And Believe It or Not, That's Us)

Hank, who gets to claim the win over NM?

Obviously, you're a Dem in name only.

You don't seriously expect Flu...er, Hank to admit that one of his own is wrong, now, do you?

Vote Democratic, for a balanced budget. No, no, we're serious here.

At the risk of sounding like paigow, the sell-by date on that joke is long since past. Even bilmore has taken that one out of his rotation.

You just are meeting the wrong NRA members:

Rep Disapproval of Bush

Although it was not a formal poll, and the Keaton family may not reflect society at large (or even a jury of your peers), I'd like to make this observation after a recent Holiday weekend: I was astonished to discover among Reps I love and admire extreme disapproval with Bush over Iraq (and not his spending streak). These are not Rep lawmakers but wise old birds like Grandpa Keaton. I have been seeing a serious drop in support among Reps over Iraq. No scientific poll, just an alarming personal observation and I'm curious to see if it becomes a real phenomena.

It all depends on whether things start going better in Iraq or not. I don't have the exact number on hand, but I think it is something like 70 US soldiers dead in the last 2 weeks. How many more are injured? 300? 500? And how seriously are they injured? Legs blown off? Blinded?

If things don't turn around pretty quickly, GWB is going to have a hard time in November.

She does not seem to be carrying an NRA card. And if she were, you would be able tell.

Just carrying a gun doesn't make you an NRA devotee. I like guns, but I think the NRA is full of shit in multiple respects.

But, in Bilmore's defense, nephew Alex P. was mostly unhappy with the spending.

You mean, like letting an ex-felon like Liddy carry an automatic weapon?

For Sidd's sake....

I AGREE WITH YOU.

(although we probably disagree on the "respects")

What is your problem with Josh Marshall? He's as solid as any other journalist I can think of. I've never seen him get facts wrong.
