I want to be PC. when I've touched a peanut should I ask anyone near me if they are allergic, or should the allergic wear some smock that would tell me? Stores roast peanuts and blow the smell on the sidewalk. people walk down the street eating snacks EVEN peanuts.

I know this is sensitive to you, and I don't care if schools ban peanuts, but I really just don't see what you are protecting them from long term. It strikes me that once they're out of whatever school they're in that can ban peanuts, once they're in the world, they will be exposed to peanuts, or they can stay in a bubble.

I am of course the second dumbest poster, so maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't get what the benefit is of protecting someone through their school years when that person will ultimately have to learn to be very careful, or isolated.
